Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is the most common type of counseling—an opportunity for a therapist and client to have a conversation, process experiences from the past, explore how to live in the present, and figure out how navigate the future. Our diverse team of skilled clinicians represent several theoretical perspectives and are trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions to help clients find their path forward. This personalized service is available via telehealth and in person at our Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, and Cripple Creek locations. Reaching out takes courage—and we’re here to walk beside you.

Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a trauma-specific therapy designed to help clients process traumatic experiences from their past that may feel too difficult to talk about. It looks very different from traditional talk therapy, and several of our therapists are trained in EMDR to help clients move through painful or overwhelming memories. We are happy to discuss this approach in more detail—either through a phone consultation to determine whether it’s the right fit for you, or as a natural progression within individual counseling.

Our therapists tailor their approach to each child’s developmental stage and unique needs, helping them strengthen confidence, communication, and resilience.
Reunification Counseling
Reunification counseling is a specialized service that helps a child or children rebuild a relationship with an estranged parent. This service is often court-ordered or mandated, either as part of mediation in custody cases or by direct judicial order.
Supervised Visitation
There are many family circumstances that may create the need for supervised visitation. We work with our clients to help children and parents maintain a healthy relationship even during periods of stress or transition. Our team works with the Colorado Department of Human Services, Colorado judicial orders, and out-of-state courts requesting this service
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation
Therapeutic supervised visitation is a step up from standard supervised visitation, offering additional clinical support during parent–child interactions. It is designed for situations in which parents are struggling in their relationship with their children or when there are concerns about communication, emotional safety, or connection. A clinician guides the visit to help strengthen healthier patterns and promote more meaningful, supportive interactions.

DUI Level I and II Education Group
This group is restricted to individuals who have received a DUI/DWAI charge. Typically, after being charged, you can begin attending groups and classes that will count toward your sentencing. Most people charged and convicted of DUI/DWAI are required to complete DUI Level II Education, which consists of 24 hours of instruction (12 weeks of group sessions, two hours each). This service is offered in person as well as via telehealth.
DUI Group Therapy
When charged and convicted of a DUI/DWAI, clients are assessed by the court and recommended for a ‘track’ based on previous convictions, BAC, and the circumstances surrounding the charge. Track A requires 42 hours of DUI Group Therapy; Track B requires 52 hours of Group Therapy; Track C requires 68 hours of Group Therapy; and Track D requires 86 hours. All tracks must be completed in addition to the 24 hours of DUI Level II Education. Due to recent changes in federal policy, clients may choose two one-hour groups per week, or one group and one individual therapy session totaling two hours. Some clients may also be eligible to attend one weekly two-hour group via telehealth. We offer several options to help with every situation, and we’re happy to help you find the one that works best for you—please call for more details.
Track F/Level 4+ DUI/DWAI Therapy
This program is designed to meet the needs of clients charged and convicted of felony-level DUI/DWAI. Track F has significantly more requirements than the misdemeanor DUI/DWAI tracks and is highly individualized based on client needs, but it includes a state-mandated minimum of 180 hours of a combination of Group and Individual Therapy. Because this program is tailored to each client’s needs, we begin with an evaluation and then provide personalized recommendations. Please call for more information.
Sobriety Monitoring & Urinalysis
A Willow Bends offers ongoing random sobriety monitoring through urinalysis, breathalyzer testing, and oral (saliva) analysis to support accountability and treatment goals. Our team provides timely, reliable results and works closely with clients, providers, and courts when required.

Evaluations
Mental Health Evaluation
This evaluation is designed to identify common mental health concerns and provide clear recommendations for counseling. It serves as an essential starting point, helping both clients and clinicians develop a focused and effective treatment plan. We recognize that taking the first step can feel overwhelming; this process ensures you receive the most personalized and supportive care from day one.
Substance Abuse Evaluation
This evaluation is intended to provide specific therapeutic recommendations for substance abuse counseling and treatment. It serves as an essential “Where do I start?” assessment, guiding clients toward a suitable entry point for recovery. By clearly defining the path forward, we aim to reduce confusion and empower you to take the crucial first steps toward lasting change.
Parental Responsibility Evaluation (PRE)
Courts may appoint a Parental Responsibility Evaluator (PRE) in cases involving the allocation of parental responsibilities, including parenting time and decision-making authority. The PRE performs a comprehensive evaluation and files a written report addressing the disputed issues. The purpose of this evaluation and subsequent report is to assist the court in determining the best interests of the child, with the child’s safety always paramount.
Pre-Plea Investigative Report
A Pre-Plea Investigative Report is a specific evaluation that provides recommendations to the court regarding therapeutic treatment following a domestic violence charge. It is typically conducted when a client intends to enter a guilty plea and does not plan to proceed to the trial phase. This service is designed to propose specific therapeutic interventions, but it is NOT a Domestic Violence Evaluation Please reach out to us to learn more about this service.
Level 4+ DUI Evaluation
Our Level 4+ DUI Evaluation is utilized to determine specific treatment recommendations for clients engaged in Level 4+/DUI Track F counseling. This comprehensive assessment is designed to help clients identify and address the complex, underlying issues that were not resolved in previous episodes of treatment. Please Note: This is a specialized service strictly for individuals who have received four or more lifetime DUI offenses.
